Becoming a member of Route des Arts

Who may apply?

This invitation is for all creative visual artists and creative craftspeople living in and around Argenteuil region.

Mandatory criteria 

Originality and superior technique are a primary criterion for creative artists in both visual and applied arts. You must have your studio in the Greater Argenteuil region.

Selection process 

An independent jury will make the final selection from among applications received.

Definitions

For the purposes of the Art Tour, the categories shall be defined as follows:

Creative visual artist 

An artist who creates original works in a visual medium: (painting, sculpture, photography, engraving, etc.)

Creative crafts person 

A craftsperson that creates original works in the various crafts: (cabinetmaking, weaving, glasswork, woodwork, ironwork, jewellery, etc.).

How to apply

Interested artists or craftspeople must return a completed, signed application form (use the form enclosed or a photocopy), along with the following:

• A brief résumé (1 or 2 typed pages)
• Six high-resolution digital photos of recent works on a CD
• A detailed description of each piece shown in the slides
• A cheque of  $25 made out to:  Route des Arts

Complete applications must be received before September, 30th preceding the next summer art tour.
